SW Detroit Celebrates 4th Annual Dia de los Niños

On Saturday, April 24th, Matrix Human Services put on their 5th Annual Día de los Niños, Día de los Libros—an event promoting literacy among Southwest Detroit Latino children. The event lasted from 10am-3pm. There were a number of other community partners there.

Gipsy Kings Had Casino Audience Dancing

The Gipsy Kings recently took the stage at Caesars Windsor Hotel and Casino this past Friday, April 23. Nearly 4,000 people came out to hear the group perform and they did not disappoint. The driving drumbeats and strumming guitars drove their brand of flamenco rumba that took over the casino as The Gipsy Kings began their performance.

Home Depot was among the parties involved in helping them replace some fencing that was stolen. Awards Recognize Professionals Improving Detroit
