Gipsy Kings Had Casino Audience Dancing

The Gipsy Kings recently took the stage at Caesars Windsor Hotel and Casino this past Friday, April 23.  Nearly 4,000 people came out to hear the group perform and they did not disappoint.  The driving drumbeats and strumming guitars drove their brand of flamenco rumba that took over the casino as The Gipsy Kings began their performance.

Throughout the evening, the group performed some of their fan favorites that included Baila Me and Bamboleo.  One of the most memorable things that occurred during the concert was when the group each took their turn at doing solos.

Several people were dancing and moved towards the stage.  Amazingly, The Gipsy Kings even allowed a few people from the audience to get up on stage and dance as they performed.  The dancing was confined mostly to the front of the stage, while the rest of the audience remained in their seats.

I have to admit that I was surprised by the amount of people that were actually sitting.  This was The Gipsy Kings for cryin’ out loud! How can you not be on your feet dancing?! Even with this, The Gipsy Kings put on an amazing performance.

This was my first time seeing a concert at Caesars Windsor.  The venue is pretty intimate compared to some of the larger concert spaces in the Detroit area.  The acoustics were excellent.  I found it to be a great place to see a concert, especially The Gipsy Kings.  I will definitely return to Caesars Windsor for future concerts.

Wow, well I do not know when or how came upon the Gypsy Kings. Maybe a video, but the minute I heard their music I fell madly in love with their music. Good or bad days, you put on the Gypsy Kings and your spirits just burst. Some of their slower music is just beautiful and exotic. I used to manage a store in Greektown back in the late 80′s early 90′s. I played thir music on the stereo for me and the customers and they just loved the music. I hea their music now and just perk up and remember the time when I started listening to them. Because of watching them on Dancing with The Stars, I stayed up until around 3am last night listening to their music. … Great group..
