I am from Mexico and this recipe has been in my family for generations. I am sharing this recipe so that you can also enjoy this delicious guacamole.
The recipe will serve 4 people but can be doubled for a larger quantity.
Ingredients:
- 1 fresh lime
- 2 ripe avocados
- 2 tsps of finely chopped onion
- 1 medium tomato chopped into small pieces
- About 1/4 cup finely chopped cilantro
- Salt
Directions:
- Put finely chopped onion into a mixing bowl along with 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lime juice.
- Add cilantro and tomato to bowl and mix everything together.
- Take skin off of avocado. Chop avocado into small pieces and add to mixing bowl. Mash avocado with a spoon (you may add avocado pit to bowl to help keep avocado color lasting longer).
- Add salt to taste and mix everything together.
You can serve with chips. It can also be used in tortillas or as a spread on your favorite sandwich.
