We had the chance to check out their October 7th event, “The Creative Process and How To Inspire Inventive Thinking,†which was hosted by Q LTD, a strategic design consultancy based in Ann Arbor (http://www.qltd.com/index.php/).  Christine Gollus and Paul Koch, both from Q LTD, spoke at The Franklin Grill in Franklin, MI on the importance of creative thinking across all industries.
MIPA was formed to fulfill the need of international Michigan communities to connect across cultural backgrounds in a highly dynamic and relaxed environment. Â Together with all of its contributors, MIPA organizes monthly events for business professionals to share information and network. Â The events feature speakers that are experts in their field passionate about their work.
MIPA’s excellent events are not only complemented with tasty appetizers and drinks but also by equally delicious art by local artists. This event featured the photography of local artist, Sooney Kadouh.  His pictures presented a fresh look on the historic yet contemporary Detroit.
The highlights of “The Creative Process†included  moments where Gollus and Koch spoke about the opportunity to to improve creativity in the workplace.  Changing business practices through the generation of fresh ideas, creative brainstorming and deviating during proper moments from the norm can provide an opportunity for nurture inventive thinking.
While MIPA is still a relatively fresh organization, keep your eyes and ears open.  If you’re a professional that is looking to become more creative or to develop some new connections, then you might want to stop into one of their upcoming events.
