The Annual Community Investment Breakfast returns on June 16, 2011 from 7:30AM-9:00AM!

This year we are pleased to announce that Mayor Dave Bing will be our Honorary Chair and speaker at the event along with Dr. John Popovich from Henry Ford Hospital. Together they will talk about their work in terms of this year’s theme: The Detroit of the Future: Built One Community at a Time. The event emcee is Mr. Huel Perkins of FOX2 News.

The Southwest Detroit Business Association will also be honoring the following individuals for their outstanding work and dedication to our community:

• The Clark Street Award for Public Investment: State Representative Rashida Tlaib
• The Bagley Award for Latino Heritage Investment: Frank Venegas, The Ideal Group
• The West Vernor Award for Individual Community Leadership: Jane Garcia

As always, the event is held at a unique location in Southwest Detroit. This year’s event location proves no different as it will be held at The Display Group, a 200,000 square foot facility that houses props and decor for any and every event. The Display Group is located at 1700 West Fort Street.
