World Salsa Congress 2011 Comes to Detroit

The World Salsa Congress Tour will be returning to Metro Detroit this August 19–21, 2011 in Troy.

The world knows and applauds many styles of Salsa dancing.  The World Salsa Congress wants to demonstrate the diversity of styles and how it ignites passion and pure energy. The Tour honors and celebrates this expressive art form with a three day music and dance extravaganza at The MET Troy.

The World Salsa Congress Tour unites people of all ages from all over the globe and right here at home, who want to share, learn and rejoice in the sounds and motion of the Salsa. This year’s event will be hosted by World Salsa Champion, Elaine Marrero, with the support of Troy Dance Studio and the sponsors.

There will be live music, world-class disc jockeys, dance shows, demonstrations and classes for people of all skill levels. This year we are adding more dances as well: Hustle, Cha Cha, Bachata, West Coast Swing, Hip Hop, Zumba and Teacher’s Certification. Everyone is encouraged to attend.

Salsa means sauce and sauce means flavor.  There is no more potent form of communication than dance.  This three day festival will most definitely add some flavor to your life.  It is easy to get caught up in our day to day lives, so why not escape, if not for a moment to come to our jubilee.  We promise a fun, family-oriented, heart-pounding good time.

Detroit is fortunate to have this prestigious occasion.  Do not miss out on this golden opportunity of what could possibly be a life-changing event.  We guarantee your feet to move and your emotions to run wild to the beat.  We look forward to seeing you there.
